PowerAdProfits Review – The Truth Behind Ad Exchange

Updated: March 7, 2022
by Ray Alexander

Can you really make money with Power Ad Profits? I doubt it, you know. Ad exchange sites have been around for years now, and they never do more than what they’re supposed to do. They’re not designed to make money because frankly, users exchange ads with their competitors, what for?

If you’ve never seen one of those before and wonder how things work, I hope this PowerAdProfits review will help you decide whether it’s worth joining or not. You need to be clear what’s important is not what you can do with it, but what kind of results this platform may bring to your business. Right?

What Is PowerAdProfits?

PowerAdProfits.com is a platform that offers advertising space to new entrepreneurs, allowing them to introduce their businesses to one another. In other words, an ad exchange site.

You surf the ads (view other members’ landing pages) and will learn 0.5 credit each time you view a page for at least 10 seconds. Your credits can then be used to advertise your page. It takes 1 credit per impression, i.e. for every 2 ads you view, you’ll be qualified to display your page to another member once.

As a free member, you’ll only be able to advertise one webpage and one banner. There’s no restriction on the type of webpage you can advertise, so it can be a site that’s owned by a third party, e.g. your affiliate product page.

Paid options are available from a one-time fee of $49, which will give you 1 million credits and enable you to advertise an unlimited number of sites and banners

PowerAdProfits Review

Is PowerAdProfits Legit or Scam?

The footer of the PowerAdProfits homepage says that this system was opened in January 2022 and is owned by Maryanne Myers. The domain registry proves this; poweradprofits.com was created and privately registered in December 2021. Maryanne’s name is listed as the domain owner (not hidden under Whois). Clearly, she’s trying to be transparent here. We can safely assume that PowerAdProfits is a legitimate ad exchange service.

Maryanne Myers

Maryanne herself is a programmer and internet marketer, says she’s been running an online business since 1998. Her other website, webstars2k.com has been around since 2004.

The only thing that I’m not keen on is some of the taglines on the homepage. The header part reads, “Start Making Money in Only 17 Minutes” which is unsupported by fact therefore I think is misleading. Another tagline reads, “No waiting to be paid, no middleman. Get instant cash!” Again, I’m not sure how attractive it may sound to some, but we’re talking about online business transactions. It would be rather questionable if you had to go through a middle person to get paid. I would focus on how much I can make, rather than how fast I can withdraw my earnings, really.

The Dashboard - Simple Navigation

Traditionally, ad exchange sites are rather designed to be confusing with lots of banners and nested menu bars all over the place. That’s because the whole concept has been strung out from the millennium. I can only imagine 20 years ago that users would frantically click one ad after another, and advertisers would benefit from receiving traffic in those days.

While all other ad exchange sites tend to look tacky, chaotic and have bad navigation, PowerAdProfits I think is pretty user-friendly. There’s only one vertical menu which is simple and straightforward. The FAQ is easy to understand.

Paid Options

Two paid options are available; “5 Star Jumbo Account” and “Green Jumbo Account”. They require a one-time fee of $99 and $49 respectively. Here are the benefits;

  • Extra surf credits ($99 for 1,000,000 or $49 for 500,000.)
  • Plus extra banner credits ($99 for 1,000,000 or $49 for 500,000.)
  • 100 extra surf credits per signup referred.
  • List an unlimited number of sites and banners.
  • Your sites will be added to the “admin rotator” so they won’t be displayed to the same members repeatedly.
  • Access to the easy sales page editor.
PowerAdProfits Paid Accounts

So basically, there’s no difference in the service you receive between the two paid options. It’s just the credits you receive will be double if you pay double. In fact, it’ll be a dollar cheaper to buy the latter option twice (2 x $49 = $98), which I think is slightly odd, if I may be picky…

What’s Unique About PowerAdProfits.com

What makes PowerAdProfits different from other ad exchange sites is that you can sell your credits to others - other PAP members or even externally - for any price you want. So there are 2 scenarios that I can think of. You buy a million credits for $49 and;

  • Sell 400,000 credits to other members for a slightly higher rate, say $25. A member who needs credits but cannot afford to pay $49 right now may be interested (?)
  • Sell credits for a cheaper rate to non-members, say, 100,000 credits for $2 to invite them into PAP.

Referral Commissions

A 20% commission will be paid out on your referral's purchases. Each time your referral buys a $49 package, you’ll receive $10 and when they buy a $99 package, you’ll receive $20.

Targeting The Wrong Audience

Now, here's what I talked about right at the beginning of this post - the critical problem with ad exchanges.

As far as I can see, virtually 100% of PAP members are promoting the wealth niche - make-money-online, traffic and lead generation. The members are all competing with one another. Each one of them is promoting their business to their competitors. They are saying to each other;

“Join my system to earn unlimited income daily!”

“Join my system to make endless commissions every day!”

“Join me, and you’ll get paid 24/7!”

What’s the difference between their claims? Just the words, right? Nothing, otherwise. They’re literally “exchanging ads”. Then what will you gain from joining them? I guess not much. You may want to examine their landing pages to see if there are good sales copies you can steal. But these people don’t even realise that they’re targeting the wrong audience. That means, I’m sorry to say, they don’t really know what they’re doing. There isn’t really a valuable technique to steal from them, to be honest.

Nothing To Learn!

Another thing that PowerAdProfits’ homepage boldly states is that you won’t have to create a site, and there’s “nothing to learn”.

Nothing To Learn

If you think, oh good, I’m too busy to make time to learn anything so this is ideal…that’s too bad. Like any other business (or like anything in life, really!) where there’s nothing to learn, you'll remain stagnant. You won’t generate anything profitable for yourself, let alone anything that will automatically work in your favour, unfortunately.

Can You Make Money With PowerAdProfits At All?

As I just said, it’s much better to target the right audience and build up your real prospects elsewhere - such as YouTubing, blogging, or via social media marketing. But I’m not saying you can’t make money with PowerAdProfits at all. I’m sure some of the members do. I can think of 3 possibilities.

#1 Referral Commissions

Promote PowerAdProfits.com elsewhere, build your referrals and encourage them to buy ad credit packages. But will this method be helping your referrals grow their businesses, given the fact that ad exchange is no more than ad exchange? The answer is no, and for your integrity, it’s not such a brilliant idea.

#2 Be Drastically Better Than Others

If you view 10-20 other members’ landing pages, you’ll notice that the majority of them have an outdated design and very similar sales copies. So you can use the current, modern landing page builder and come up with a shocking sales copy that blows them away (!)

Well, in all honesty, that’ll unlikely to work, judging by most of the other members’ landing pages - the designs are so outdated. I’m not proud of my design sense but come on, theirs are so old and embarrassing to look at.

Outdated Sites

This probably tells you that they stopped learning over a decade ago. They’re not gonna look at your landing page and go “wow”, are they? No matter how well-written your sales copy or how well-designed your site is.

#3 Promote Products in a Different Niche

No point in promoting similar traffic packages or MMO products to the competitors. No point in promoting health niche or anything from ClickBank, because the other members are likely to know where they’re coming from.

Perhaps promote something rather unusual - travel discounts? Innovative household items? How about psychic readings? Tell them their wealthy future can be assessed by a clairvoyant!

PowerAdProfits Pros and Cons

Pros

  • It's a legitimate ad exchange site.
  • The owner has been in online business for over 2 decades.
  • Opportunity to earn referral commissions.
  • Relatively user-friendly interface.

Cons

  • The ad exchange concept is outdated.
  • You're not learning anything much from it.
  • All other members promote the same niche.
  • You're not making money in an effective way.

PowerAdProfits Review - Conclusion:

Compared to other similar services, PowerAdProfits seems easier to use, with no complicated rules, no worthless bonus offers, clear & straightforward. That’s a good thing.

But an ad exchange is an ad exchange, it does what it says on the tin and nothing much more than that. I would suggest that you spend your time and energy on learning how to find your real prospects, rather than on advertising against your competitors here.

  1. I was invited to Power ad profits by someone on Leadsleap, another traffic exchange. Leadsleap never allows me to make money and don’t expect this one to either wondering how can he tell other Leadsleap members Power ad profits are better?
I also have an account on Traffic G but never make money I don’t bother any more. What’s your opinion? Thanks

    1. Hi Randy, thanks for your comment. It makes sense that your referrer is targeting his fellow traffic exchange users though. Some do spend money on Leadsleap, so he’s obviously hoping some of his referrals to spend on PAP too. I reviewed Traffic G a few years ago, and my opinion’s basically the same. I hope it helps. Best wishes for your business!
