If you're looking for a cheap and easy way to create your first website, then welcome to my Zyro review. Building a website is not just about designing and having it hosted. There are a few essential elements to add, especially for a business site, such as creating the logo and adding legal disclosure pages. Zyro has made things so simple & easy for beginners by offering all the tools you need in one platform - well, almost all. At least for a while.
You probably wouldn't be surprised to know that there are almost 2 billion websites globally, and as you can see on the Internet Live Stats site, the number is increasing every second. The setup and usage fees are coming down as the number of users continuously grows. So today, My Zyro review will show you how this web hosting company provides all the necessary tools for virtually free.

What Is Zyro?
Zyro is a website builder tool and web hosting in one. The price starts from as low as $2.90 per month and you'll get to build a most up-to-date, professional-looking website and have it up and running. The company is part of a low-cost web hosting company, Hostinger, so it is an all-in-one web platform both for individuals and small business owners.
The "drag & drop" website builder is equipped with 120+ templates for a variety of needs, styles, and types of business, so you can choose one and start customizing it. If you change your mind, you can choose another template and start all over again. You can also create one from scratch from a blank canvass.
Apart from the web hosting and site builder, Zyro provides a domain registration service for no extra cost, and also offers various extra tools for free, such as;
- Logo maker
- Image resizer
- Business name generator
- Slogan generator
- Blog title generator
- Heatmap
- AI Writer
- AI image upscaler
- Image background remover
These tools are designed to enhance website content, some of them such as a logo maker and an image resizer are necessary right from the beginning stage of website creation. So Zyro will save you from having to find the right third-party tools.
Who Is Zyro For?
Zyro is suitable for anyone who wishes to own a website at a low cost.
- Both for personal use and for small business owners - because the Zyro website templates are catered for all kinds of occasions and businesses.
- First-timers - because it doesn't require any technical skills and has plenty of support (knowledge base, live chat, and email.)
- Similarly, for Business startups - because it has plenty of tools to help beginners; logo maker, blog title generator, and even a tool to generate a business name.
- Those who have experience and wish to transfer their existing site to Zyro - the website importer tool allows you to import images and texts from other published websites. Your existing domain can be transferred to your new Zyro site easily.
Zyro Site Templates
All the templates are modern-looking... Seeing is believing, it'll be quicker to witness yourself rather than me describing how they look in words. But apart from the designs, they're all created for different types of needs and categorized. So you can either choose by category first or just randomly preview the ones you think look good, pick one and play around with it to see if it's the best one.
For example, e-commerce templates are equipped with all the features required to create an online store, such as pricing, shopping cart, and customer sign-in panel, so if you are planning to sell at least a few or more products, choosing one of these templates will be a good start.
Here are some of the categories of the Zyro website builder templates;
- Blogging - personal or content marketing.
- Resume - for a job-hunting, professional portfolio.
- Services - an official website of any kind of small business or non-profit organization.
- Restaurants - menu page, a "reserve a table" form.
- Photography - gallery, portfolio.
- eCommerce - for a store that sells either physical or digital products.
- Events - for a simple site that notifies a future event with an RSVP form page.
- Landing Pages - for lead generation and call-to-action.
Domain Registration
Firstly, if you already have your own domain, you can easily transfer it to your new Zyro site. I'll explain the importing of your existing site to Zyro in the "Transfer To/From Zyro Website" section below.
To own a website, you have to have a domain name, (e.g. "yourwebsite.com") and the registration fee for a regular top-level domain such as .com .net .org is usually around $10 a year. You often have to buy it from a domain registration site separately and link it to your website. But the good thing about Zyro is that you can register a domain directly from Zyro, so it'll save your time from buying it somewhere else and coming back to Zyro to connect it.
.com domain is sold for $8.99 per year which is very competitive, as well as other cheap domains such as .tech, .xyz, .online, and so on for as low as $0.99 per year. Though I wouldn't personally recommend you to buy a cheap domain because they're often used by spammers and scammers. Often ESPs recognize domains like .xyz simply as spam, so do Facebook, Instagram, and some other social networks, so you won't be able to promote your landing pages or blog updates on social media. Always go for .com domain, at least for now, I would say.
Free Domain Name with Zyro
Zyro also offers some free domains with a top-level domain such as .shop, .website, .store, .online, and so on. But these domains are offered for free for the first year only. From the 2nd year, the fee will shoot up to anywhere between $15-$40 per year. So taking advantage of Zyro's free domain service may only be a good idea if you're planning to build a site for a temporary purpose such as;
- Running a sales campaign for a short period (12 months or less)
- Event notification
- Temporary website or beta testing before launching the main site.
Transfer To/From Zyro Website
Importing your existing site content to Zyro seems fairly easy because it's equipped with a special tool that allows you to import images and texts to your new site from other published sites.
On the other hand, if you decide to quit Zyro in the future and decide to move to another website builder, it can be tricky - I have asked one of the support agents about this and they say, because of Zyro's unique architecture, it doesn't have an exporter tool that can convert the content to a different format such as WordPress.
Zyro Pricing Plan
So just to summarize, Zyro's pricing plan is extremely competitive because it's a website builder with free web hosting, i.e. in other words, low-cost web hosting with a free website builder. A landing page builder / visual builder is essential to enrich the content which will normally cost you separately. So I think this is a huge plus.

Zyro vs Bluehost
Bluehost is another low-cost web hosting service, and as you can see, their charges are more or less the same as Zyro;
Bluehost Basic plan:
- Pay for 3 years in advance: $35 per year ($2.95 per month)
- Pay for 2 years in advance: $47.40 per year ($3.95 per month)
- Pay for 1 year in advance: $59.40 per year ($4.95 per month)
Zyro's Basic Plan:
- Pay for 4 years in advance: $34.80 per year ($2.90 per month)
- Pay for 2 years in advance: $46.80 per year ($3.90 per month)
- Pay for 1 year in advance: $58.80 per year ($4.90 per month)
- Pay monthly: $106.80 ($8.90 per month)
...Except that Zyro provides you a free visual site builder, so you can see Zyro is more value for money.
For Multiple Websites
For one Zyro subscription, you'll have one website connected. It means if you'd like to build multiple sites, you'll simply have to purchase multiple subscription plans. No special discount is offered, unfortunately, but the majority of other low-cost web hosting services are simply restricted to one website per subscription, so I think this is normal. Keeping track of all your sites can be easily managed from the Subscription tab in your dashboard.
Legal Page Generators
When you publish a website for a business purpose, you are required to display some legal disclaimers to protect yourself from troubles. You can find many standard disclaimer templates online, so you can pick one, copy the whole page and use it. But you'll still have to customize the page by changing your website name, URL, and your contact email address where applicable.
Zyro makes the job easier by offering 3 x free generators;
- Privacy Policy Generator - Privacy Policy is a legal statement that explains how you collect and process visitors' data. You'll need it on your website.
- Terms and Conditions Generator - You'll also need a Terms and Conditions page to protect yourself, telling visitors your legal position, how you place links, cookie policy, your website content as intellectual property.
- Refund Policy Generator - If you have an e-commerce website, you should be clarifying your refund policy.
Each generator automatically creates a disclosure page for you. All you have to do is enter your company name (your name), website name, and your contact email address. Click the "Generate" button and it will create the disclosure. Click a button to copy the whole content, paste it on a blank page, publish it, and it's all done. They're nice little tools that are available for free.

Zyro Review - Conclusion:
If you're planning to build a website for the first time and wish to monetize it by affiliate marketing, selling your own products, or drop-shipping, Zyro offers any style of templates for your needs. It's particularly good if you don't know where to start or don't want to go through all the fuss of signing up with a web hosting company and installing a site builder on your webspace.
Zyro is not just for first-timers, as it allows you to transfer your existing domain name with a few clicks. So if you're planning to give your site an overhaul, I think Zyro is one to consider. Sign up with Zyro for free, and you'll see everything's ready on your dashboard.

¹subject is title ²the body allows images
No, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s the “easiest way”, i.e. only great for individuals who don’t own a computer. If you seriously want to start an online business, don’t use a free webspace with a prefixed address. I’d strongly recommend you to get a domain name for branding purposes. Thanks for your comment.
Hi Ray, thank you for your Zyro review. I was looking for a cheap website builder and also easy way to build some websites and this is awesome, it helps me a lot because I am not technically good. Thank you.
Right now I have 3 niches in mind and it helps me if there are different types of templates because I would like to make different styles. Is there a discount if I want to build 3 websites and if so how does it work? For now I am not so sure how long I can run for, I will want to keep them to the minimum. Thank you for your useful review article. I am glad to know about Zyro.
Sam
Hi Sam, thanks for your comment. Glad to hear that you’re interested. About multiple websites – as I said in the post, if you’d like to build 3 sites on Zyro, you’ll simply have to pay for 3 x subscriptions. But you can start one by one at any time you wish and the duration can be managed from your “Subscription” menu. I’d start one first and see if you have extra time to build the next one though. If you need any help, don’t hesitate to let me know. I wish you all the best, thanks!
Sounds like a good service. I know WordPress is the most popular content marketing system but the problem we've been having the past few years is that so many visual builders have come up making WordPress less & less popular. It's about time we ditched WordPress and shifted to more convenient system like Zyro really.
Hi Josh, thanks for sharing your thoughts on WordPress. I guess you’re right, I have been using WordPress for many years now but without Thrive Architect it’d be awkward to use and the content would be dull. Zyro is easy to use and, I think it’ll be useful for beginners as, like you say, using a visual site builder has now become the standard. Thanks for your comment, I wish you all the best.
