The blogging business industry may not be as strong as it used to be, and affiliate marketing may no longer be a lucrative business model. But for those who have nothing to sell and who are not spontaneously natural storytellers, affiliate blogging is one of very few ways to earn income online.

No matter what your niche may be, there’s likely an affiliate blog out there that would be a great fit for your business. Thanks to AI, we no longer suffer from writer's block either. Even a small spark of interest can grow into something good through blogging. So why not publish your thoughts daily, starting today?

Affiliate Blogging Business Ideas For Beginners

Affiliate Blogging Business Ideas For Beginners

Here are some beginner affiliate blog ideas:

  • Share links to products you’ve reviewed on your blog.
  • Make a list of the top 10 products in your niche and share links to reviews, comparisons, or tutorials on how to use those products.
  • Compile lists of the best (and worst) deals on related products.
  • Write about how a particular product has helped you fix the problem you had.
  • Answer reader questions in detail about topics related to your niche.

When you share links to products you’ve reviewed on your blog, you'll help others find the information they need and encourage them to make a purchase;

Find Meaningful Keywords

Use a meaningful keyword in your post title. Don’t make it obscure. When people search for information on your topic, they will likely use keywords as part of their search criteria. Make sure that the keyword you choose is relevant to your content and helps people find what they’re looking for.

Don’t Forget To Include Links

Include a link to the product in the body of your post. This way, readers can easily click through and explore the content for themselves. If possible, also provide some additional information about the product, such as its author or rating.

Share Useful Links

Share links from credible sources. When you share links from reputable sources, like other bloggers or websites with high authority rates, you’re more likely to attract attention from potential buyers who are looking for quality information about your topic.

Don’t Overshare

Sharing too many links can ultimately damage your credibility and lead potential customers away from your content altogether. Stick to sharing one or two well-chosen links per post.

  1. Create a blog about a niche topic that you love about.
  2. Write a series of articles about the topic, and include affiliate links to products that you recommend.
  3. Share the articles on social media, and ask your followers to click through to the affiliate links to purchase the products you have recommended.

  5. Keep writing new articles and adding new affiliate links until your blog becomes profitable.

Affiliate Blogging + Paid Coaching Program

One-on-One Coaching

You can develop a core coaching program delivered primarily through written materials (e.g.,workbooks, templates, email modules). This could include:

  • Live Q&A sessions: Host periodic live sessions (text or video) to answer client questions and provide real-time support.
  • Community forum: Create a private forum for students to connect, share experiences, and motivate each other.
  • Affiliate Integration: Offer bonus access to certain affiliate products within your coaching program.

Choose affiliate programs that complement your coaching but don't directly compete with it. Look for products that fill gaps or enhance the results your coaching program delivers. If your students find additional value, you'll successfully earn commissions.

The Value of Written Reviews

We all know that video content has gained tremendous popularity. But written reviews still hold value because there are always users who prefer reading over watching.

  • Detail-Oriented: Written reviews detail more comprehensively than videos, with in-depth analysis and specifications.
  • Reference Material: Text reviews can be easily referenced and scanned for particular information, making them practical for readers seeking quick answers.
  • Private Consumption: Not everyone can watch videos at all times; written reviews can be read quietly without disrupting others.
  • Permanent Record: Written content can be easily updated and remains searchable over time, it has longer-term value.
  • Offline-Use Friendly: Some readers prefer converting reviews into PDF for offline reading or highlighting key points, a convenience videos can't offer.

Make money with Google Adsense

Google Adsense

Google Adsense

Google Adsense is one of the most popular advertising programs that allow users to earn money by displaying ads on their websites. It allows you to place ads on your website, and in return, receive a commission on the clicks your ads generate. The ads are placed on pages that are chosen based on the user's search engine traffic. Users are paid according to how much traffic they generate.

How to set up Google Adsense on your website

Here are the steps to set up Google Adsense on your blog site.

  1. To activate your account and begin advertising with Google, visit https://www.google.com/adsense/start/. If you have an existing Google account, log in first.
  2. Click the "Create Account" button.
  3. Under "Settings," make sure that the "Enable ads" box is checked and enter your website's Google Adsense Key into the "Adsense Account Key" field. You'll need this key later on when setting up your ads.
  4. Click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page to save your settings and return to the main menu.
  5. From here, click on "Accounts" in the top left corner of the page and select your newly created account from the list. You'll see all of the ad placements that have been configured for this account under "Placements."
  6. Next, click on "Configure Ads" in the toolbar at the top of your screen and enter your desired parameters for each ad campaign (e.g., budget, targeting). Keep in mind that you can use different ad IDs for different campaigns, so it's important to keep track of which ID corresponds to which campaign(s).
  7. Finally, click on "Create Campaign" to start configuring your ads! You'll need to provide your Google Adsense Key and select the ads you want to display. You can also choose which websites will receive the ad traffic.
  8. Click on "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page to finalize your campaign settings and return to the "Placements" tab. Click on a campaign name to view detailed information about that campaign, including stats such as cost per click (CPC) and estimated earnings.
  9. To see your ads in action, click on the "Campaigns" tab and select a campaign from the list. You'll see a sample ad displayed below with click-through stats for that specific campaign.

Tips for Calculating Your Blog Income

1. Estimate your monthly income from blogging;

  1. Start by calculating the number of readers you have. This can be done by using a tool like BlogMetrics or Google Analytics.
  2. Next, figure out what type of content generates the most engagement (clicks and page views).
  3. Decide which monetization strategies will work best. Some examples include charging for premium content, selling advertising space, or offering paid content partnerships.

2. Create custom monetization plans;

  1. Find out who is reading your posts and why. This can be done by analyzing data like engagement rates and click-through rates (CTRs).
  2. Come up with creative ways to charge for premium content or sell advertising space.
  3. Offer paid content partnerships to other bloggers in your niche who may want to feature your content on their sites.

3. Increase the blog revenue stream;

Promote affiliate products and sell ad space on your site at the same time. Both of these methods require some upfront investment (e.g., buying ads or signing up as an affiliate), but can yield long-term benefits for your blog.

Affiliate Blogging Business Ideas For Beginners: Conclusion

Last but not least, don’t be afraid to ask for help from those in the online community who are more experienced than you. There is no better way to learn how to create compelling content than by observing others in action and taking note of their tips and tricks. With hard work and some luck, creating a successful blog can still be yours!
