Feedback Fox: Easy Customer Feedback Software

Updated: April 28, 2019
by Ray Alexander

If you'd like an extremely easy and cheap online customer feedback software, consider Feedback Fox. It's cloud-based, so you don't have to download anything. Setting up is so self-explanatory that I didn't even have to check the step-by-step guide. But simple can also mean inflexible - today in my Feedback Fox review, I'll show you how you can use this online feedback management software to find out what your audience wants and/or improve your business.

Feedback Fox Review

If you want to collect feedback from as many users, you want to present something that borrows no more than a few seconds of their time. Something that lets them quickly respond and done with. What kind of feedback can make that happen? Perhaps something that;

  • Is noticeable by any user...
  • Pops up in their face, it may be intrusive but...
  • Has a friendly interface so that it won't annoy them, and
  • Casts one question, requires two clicks. No more.

I think Feedback Fox does a decent job. It's so easy that you can set it up literally within, I'd say 10 minutes. The feedback form can be displayed on your website, shared by email or across social media. You can view the result real-time either by the number of feedbacks or by percentage. No setup is needed for that, either. But there are a couple of features that I wish they were.

The price is $99 per year, but I've got a 50% off coupon for you, and you can also try it for 7 days for $1.

Who Is Feedback Fox For?

Feedback Fox is useful for anyone who wishes to find out about their engagement value with the audience. Any types of business with customer service, online marketers with or without a website, artists/creators, event promoters and even affiliates, which I'll explain later on.

Creating a Feedback Form

When you first log on to your account, you don't have to set up anything, but you can go straight to 'Create New' in the top menu. The best way to start is to play around with it, and I mean it. Create a dummy form, change the font color, background color, don't complete it but just save it. Then it will come up with;

  • The URL of the form that you can send out by email
  • Social share options (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or Pinterest)
  • Script code to embed on your webpage
  • The HTML code to embed on your email so that the recipient can directly leave the feedback from the inbox.
  • Download the HTML file that you can upload to your directly.
Image style feedback

Image style feedback - you can use any images that you want.

The code to embed on your webpage has a trigger option - you want it to appear;

  • instantly
  • after X seconds
  • after scrolling down the page by X percent
  • on exit intent, or
  • a floating button.

You can also choose a display frequency option;

  • only for the first time a user visits that particular page
  • once per day
  • once per week, or
  • every time they visit that page.

If the same user leaves feedback multiple times, the statistics will show the number of unique hits as well as total hits, so you'll know the duplicate feedbacks.

You can create and run as many forms simultaneously as you want, so the dummy form that you've just created can be deleted, left as it is, or be edited. Also you can clone an existing form if you want to create and run a similar feedback request.

Form Variations

There are 5 types of forms that you can create.

1. Rater

User can rate from 1-5. You can choose from a choice of 9 icons. Yellow star, red heart, blue diamond, etc. You can insert any words to call the lowest (1) and the highest (5) ratings in any way you want, such as "Terrible!" and "Excellent!" or "No! Stop bothering me!" and "Yeees! I'd LOVE to know that!"

2. Emoji Slider

User can slide a smile emoji icon and rate from 1-6. Three different emoji styles. You can also insert any text to call the lowest and the highest ratings.

3. Images

You can upload any images of your choice and add a caption (like the one I made above) It takes up to 5 images, i.e. you give the users a choice from 5 options.

What's good is that you can insert a URL for each option, so when a user clicks one of the images, they'll be directed to a webpage that you specified.

4. Tickbox

You can ask a question and prepare up to 10 optional answers. You can make it a multiple choice so that the user can check as many boxes as you want, or you can make it a single choice where the user can only check one box.

With the single choice, you can also insert a URL for each option, so the users will be directed to a relevant webpage after the feedback submission.

By using the tickbox style, you can not only ask for feedback to find out how users 'feel about you' but ask them what they want - ask them about themselves. For example I could create a form like this;

Tickbox Options

As an affiliate marketer, I would make the form with a single-option choice, and when a user click submitted the form they'd be directed to a relevant affiliate page. For example if they clicked 'drop-shipping' then they'd see a drop-shipping site that I recommend.

5. Question

It's a simple Yes or No question. User has a choice between two.

But you can insert any text - so your question can be "Which weekend getaway would be more ideal, if you had to choose between the two?" And the answers can be "City Break" and "Resort Vacation".

Character Counts

Each box (question, sub-label, answer option, etc) can only take up to certain characters, which is good because if you want the users to instantly digest what your feedback request is about, the written content should be very short and straightforward. Agree?

Character Count

Both the question and sub-question boxes can take up to 70 characters, and each option answer can take up to 30 characters.

So you're challenged to put things in the least number of words possible. "Excellent!" "Needs improvement." Instead of saying "Still undecided but I'm open to any suggestions", you can put "Surprise me!"

Statistics

Feedback Fox Statistics

Statistics feature is very straightforward. You can check the result by the number of feedbacks or by percentage. The only thing that I'm slightly disappointed about is that there's no option to share the stats with users. It would have been nice if it had allowed you to display the real-time feedback result (if it was good!) - even to display it on the form so that it may encourage a new user to vote.

Price

Feedback Fox will cost you $99 per year. You can try it for $1 for the first 7 days, and if you like it, $99 will be automatically debited to your card account (or PayPal if you use it). If you don't wish to continue, you can simply cancel it by contacting the support before the 7th day.

30-Day Money Back Guarantee

Even if you continue to use it, if you're not happy with how Feedback Fox works, then you can contact the support within 30days, then your money will be refunded to you.

  1. Good review. This is one of the Bonuses offered for AI software that writes unique articles. After 2 years, it's not as new and shiny anymore.

    You should look into Curious Karen for your readers. It's a one-time payment for lifetime access including updates.

    1. Thanks for your recommendation Leah, though I just looked at Curious Karen, it’s a chatbot app, quite different from Feedback Fox… I’m not aware that a bonus product is provided but I would trust an AI software that automatically writes content. Often turns out to be “unique” in the sense that’s unreadable and unusable.

  2. Thank you, Ray. You are the only site that has actually provided a real review of Feedback Fox, and a damn good one at that. You definitely helped my decision to buy or pass.

  3. Great article. I am content with the content. It is really informative in my vision of the eyes. I got all the stuff I was searching for.

  4. Hi, my sister runs a website and she was looking for something like this the other day. I will definitely recommend Feedback Fox to her.
    I believe if you run an online business you need to engage with your audience in many sorts of ways and taking feedbacks is one vital option.
    I don’t work online myself but I am looking to make money using some digital marketing. So this is not only for my sister but it might come in handy in the future.
    Thanks for your blog post.

  5. your content is very impressive. Thank you for sharing your review with us. It is very useful.

  6. Too expensive just to run feedbacks. It’s much better to have something like a survey app and engage with the audience by asking more questions.

    1. Hi Tomasz, yes I see your point. The point of this app is get as many visitors involved by ‘making it quick’. But as you say, a survey app might provide increase the engagement value more effectively. Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it.

  7. Hi it seems like a good program but is there any way that you can own something like this yourself? What I mean is is there an app that you only pay once like a plugin then you can control it any time you want? Because some survey users want to run it for indefinite period of time then they don’t want to keep paying the monthly fee forever.

    1. Hi Neil, there seem to be some available for free if you use WordPress. Check the plugins from WP-admin page. I’ll check if there are any good premium plugins, and will let you know if I find anything good. Thanks for your comment!

  8. Hi Ray, sounds like a good tool. Are you going to use it on your site, and if not why? Maybe it’s good for brands but not so much for bloggers like yourself? Thanks for sharing the useful review.

  9. Hi, great review. It looks like a great feedback system but if you can’t share it, how can you let users know of the results. I am guessing the only way would be to take a screen shot? Still useful maybe. I might try using it for $1 and see if I like it. The price is not bad. Thanks.
