WP Engine is currently offering a web hosting discount right now, and the coupon code is only valid for once, I thought I'd let you know of this quickly. If you are looking for a secure, fast and reliable web hosting company, and not planning to build more than one website, WP Engine is my best recommendation.

The regular price is $35 per month, and if you pay annually in advance, you get 2 months free (10 x $35 = $350 for 12 months). I think the price is most appropriate for what's included in the price. It's a shared server, so you don't want to pay more than that. But you don't find other cheaper web hosting services who offer the same features.

Right now WP Engine is offering 10% discount, and if you pay annually in advance, you'll also get 2 months free on top of that. That's equivalent to 3 months free of your regular price. To clarify it;

• If you choose to pay monthly, you'll just pay $31.50 for the first month, then $35 per month thereafter. That's not much of a benefit.
• If you choose to pay annually, you'll pay $315.00 per 12 months. Normally if you pay monthly, 12 x $35 = $420 in total. Therefore you'll receive a $105 discount here, i.e., equivalent to 3 months' worth.

More Than One Site To Be Hosted?

I said in the beginning, it's worth it if you're only building one site. That's only because if you want an additional website, simply $20 per month will be added on top of it per extra site. For example if you want to have 3 websites hosted, it will cost you $31.50 + $20 + $20 = $71.50 per month in total. (If you pay annually, you'll still be entitled to 2 months free: $715 per annum).

If you want 5 or more websites hosted, there'll be a further discount though. Regular price $115 per month, but now $103.50 per month, i.e. $20.70 per site.

Content Performance

For an additional $25 per month, you can have a Google Analytics data in your WordPress admin screen. I think that's a little too much to pay when there are several analytics plugins available to install, such as GA Google Analytics. And if you own a website, you really should take some time to learn just basic use of Google Analytics anyway.

GeoTargeting

This feature is available for an additional $15 per month, it looks advantageous if you need to deliver geographically targeted content including local currency, redirect to a localized page, based on a user's IP address. There are some WordPress plugins available, but free plugins don't do all. Premium plugin prices vary depending on what they can do. Geotargeting WP starts from $9 per month. So if you need such a feature, maybe try a cheaper plugin like this one first, then you can consider this WP Engine's add-on at a later date.

"Global Edge" Enhance Site Security

I feel puzzled and cheated every time I see an advanced site security feature is offered for extra cost. This feature is offered for an additional $30 per month, that's a little too much, don't you think? Do we need it or not? The feature enables "advanced" site security with DDoS protection, a web application firewall (WAF), SSL/TLS at the network edge, and Cloudflare CDN.

One thing I know is, I've seen a lot of WP Engine user reviews and never seen anyone say that their site's been attacked because of lack of security. I had no problem when I had my site hosted by WP Engine either. So I wouldn't pay $30 extra, that would defeat the purpose of taking up this discount offer.

Cancellation Policy

Good news is, you're not happy with WP Engine's service, you can cancel and request a refund within 60 days of sign up. After 60days, if you want to cancel the service you need to let them know 30 days in advance.
